The festival is extremely excited and proud to feature this year’s Official Festival Artist – Erica Pollock. Erica studied at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and was selected for the NYFA MARK Professional Development Program. An Ithaca native, she has since made Ithaca her home again to begin what is sure to be a long and illustrious professional art career.

Erica’s paintings depict realistic portrayals of urban life and she focuses on the interaction of people within their environment. She has exhibited extensively in Ithaca and in surrounding towns; most recently her work was displayed at the State of the Art Gallery. Locally, Erica is a member of the Creative Arts Partnership and her work is featured on the Greater Ithaca Art Trail.

For the festival Erica has created a beautiful series of paintings that capture the essence of the Ithaca Festival: the diverse range of performers and the joy of interacting with those performances in the Ithaca landscape. And of course, the inevitable rain; we’re bound to get wet so let’s sing, dance, laugh and experience each aspect of the festival to the fullest!
