Gorges Green Expo and Taste of Tompkins

The Festival-goers of all ages will have a chance to learn all about environmental awareness, energy conservation, and other green initiatives. Watch informative demonstrations, interactive presentations, and listen to extensive instruction provided by the gurus of “green.”  From water heaters to solar panels, organic cotton diapers to composting, you’ll find it all under one big tent.

The GGE will also feature Taste of Tompkins, which will again showcase local food and farming. At Taste of Tompkins, you can taste locally grown vegetables, sample local cheeses, sink your teeth into some locally made desserts, and for the older set, taste some of our region's finest wines.  You'll also be able to learn about some of the methods local farmers and food providers use to make sure their products are both sustainable and delicious.
